However, contributing to our website is not easy. You need to bring your “A Game”.

Here are the editorial guidelines:

• Minimum 1,000 words;
• 100% original and never duplicated;
• Grammatic perfection;
• Conversational English;
• Residential real estate topic;
• Interesting, engaging, entertaining, or educational (NOT PROMOTIONAL);
• You may link one site one time that isn’t well known – it must be relevant, beneficial, contextual, and centered towards the middle of the blog;
• You must link to at least three other well-known sites with helpful topical content;
• You may not reference sites with history of “adult” topics.
• Depending on current quantity of requests, there may be a processing fee.

There is NO flexibility on these criteria.

Here are the steps to write for us:

Step 1: E-mail me at editor@househeroes.com with your pitch and a writing sample. Writing must be in conversational English. Confirm you read and will abide by the editorial guidelines.

Step 2: I approve or disapprove. If approved, move to Step 3. If disapproved, back to the drawing board!

Step 3: Write and submit your proposal. I review within 7-days and provide feedback.

Step 4: We review in detail every website linked and confirm total originality.

Step 5: We publish your wonderful contribution! I share on my social media channels and you can to.

In case there is doubt . . . We will conduct periodic checks to make sure the content is not duplicated or referenced on the kinds of sites referenced in the guidelines.

The truth is we like working and collaborating with real estate writers. We appreciate great content and want to share it with our audience. It saves us the hassle of having to write every piece of content on our own.

We understand (and sympathize) with small businesses trying to “keep up with the big boys”. It’s not easy. Creating and sharing exceptional content is one of the best – if not the only – way to do so.
